"My Charger Doesn't Work"
Posted on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 12:57 PM
I just had to share this with everyone. I had a lady come into my job and tell me that her car charger she bought a minute ago doesn't work. So I was like, "ok?". I brought it to my outlet and plugged it into my adapter... took her phone and plugged it in... she said, "The blue light didn't come on when I plugged it in my car?". So I thought perhaps her cigaretter outlet might be blown out.. I asked and she said that she didn't think so. I was gonna exchange it for another one when she said this....
"I forgot to turn on the car!"
I had nothing else to say....
My Son turns 2
Posted on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:55 PM
My son is now 2. Last week was actually his birthday and it was a blessed day to see him turn 2... or how they say, terrible 2. hehehehe. But I think he hit that age before he turned 2, but I guess it comes with growing up and I'm sure I was there before as we all were once. It's funny how when he does misbehave, I always blame his personality on his mom and when he's an angel, I always mention how he gets that angelic personality from his dad. Hahahaha. I can never fall to blame for what he does wrong - I like to point it at his mom. Hehehehe. But I know he's picky about what he eats and yes, yes, what he wears... and everyone knows that comes from his dad... that I can not deny.
It's been 2 years so far and each day I'm blessed with his love. I look forward to many many more years to come of his love.
Samsung A920 from Sprint PCS

Sprint's Samsung A920
I don't recall if I mentioned about my Sprint service nor about new handset that I got a little over a month ago. I haven't had any complaints about it so far and the service has been pretty good to me. The only problem I've been having is sending my Picture Mail to my email address. Every time I try, it would not send unless I power off the phone and power it back on - once this is done, then the Picture Mail would send. I called Sprint about this technical problem, but they told me that at that time there were experiencing some technical network problems. Yesterday I tried sending again, but once again, I had to turn my phone off and back on in order for the Picture Mail to kick in and send. I cancelled my Power Vision add on and my Text Messaging add on.
I decided to cancel my options since I was approved recently for a demo line from Helio. Paying 1/2 the price of the original monthly, I decided to give Helio a try with their MMS, SMS, and Data. I have not tried it yet - I am waiting for my demo phone from the company. However, with Helio working on Sprint's network, it shouldn't be much of a difference.
My overall rating for Sprint (from 1 - 10) would be a 8. The voice connection is quite good to which I have not had any complaints about it yet. As for the data, it did not meet my expectations. Perhaps if the Picture Mail could go through w/o any problems, my ratings would've been a point higher.
The other complaint I have about the Picture Mail is that it's Picture Mail... not MMS. Everytime I tried sending a photo, it would come out as an email to the person I'm sending it to. And not just a simple photo. Perhaps if I didn't blog, I wouldn't mind, but being that I tried sending a few photos to the blog, it did not go through properly - always came up with the Picture Mail message.
Once I have the Helio up and running, I'll give you more details about their service and data service.
Just to note: I still have Sprint and will keep it. The voice connection is quite good.

Does anyone know how to view videos on this? I mean if you put a .mpg or .avi file onto your memory card, and use the Media Player, it won't show your video as an option. Is there something I need to do?

Unfresh Teddy?

Unfresh Teddy? Know a stuffed animal who could use a little freshening up? Place it in a paper bag with baking soda. Shake. Let stand over night. Brush off. Hug!
(Information found on a paper towel... hehehehe). Just thought I'd share it with you!
2007 Lexus RX 350
Posted on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 3:16 PM
A friend of mine recently bought the RX350 (Lexus) on Tuesday. A beautiful suv ... has almost every nook and cranny in there. But on Friday, in broad day light, her lights were stripped from the car in matter of minutes. And much damage was caused to the vehicle. The lights alone will cost $3400 and the body damage... well, she's assuming about $6000-$7000. I can't believe it!! A brand new Lexus damaged so badly that I felt like a part of me was taken out. I couldn't believe it. The respect some people have for other people's property is embarrassing. I can not believe what people do to make money or to gain "more items". All I know is that what goes around will come around and I hope it comes back to those people with twice the force. With incidents like that you wonder if it's worth buying a new nice luxury car? You can't drive it with a mind of peace knowing whether it'll get stripped or stolen. And I wonder sometimes why some neighborhoods never accelerate and become better and safer?! It's people like them that bring the rest of the people in the neighborhood down. The Lexus RX350: Now imagine this without the headlights: It's a shame how and what people would do to make their own gain...
How to beat the heat.
Posted on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 8:28 PM
I was reading in a recent article online that SPICY food does the trick - a relief from the heat? You're probably wondering, SPICY?! Well, it's true ... from someone who eats spicy and from another who wrote the article online. How does it do it? Well, when you eat spicy, you of course, sweat. And sweating helps keep your body cool down. So the next time you come upon a heat wave, eat something hot ... eat something spicy. And make sure to drip that sweat. Even on a hot day, I like to drink that nice cup of hot coffee. Why? Not because it cools me down... hehehehe... but because I'm just ADDICTED to the caffeine. I am a coffee lover ... if I go without it, I have one big headache. Anyway, just remember to keep drinking that water ... water is of course the best thing to keep your body hydrated. 8 cups a day of nothing but fresh clean H2O.
Kimchi ... my favorite side dish. =) It might be spicy for some, but it's a necessity for me. hehehehe.
Bridgestone Tires - My Review : C-
Posted on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 1:37 PM
I recently purchased a 2006 Honda Civic EX about a month ago. Currently at appx. 1550 miles, my tire already had to be replaced. This morning when I was parking my car by my job, I did not see the glass bottle on the curb to which I rolled over, cracked, and flattened my tire. Perhaps, it was the way I ran over the bottle that sharded my tire, but to my knowledge to which I can remember, I have rolled over a few glass bottles a few times with my old car having Michelin tires and nothing ever happened. A few glass bottles? Well, where I work, to be honest, some of the people have no care of the environment - garbage is everywhere... almost. Perhaps it's the size of my tire that made it easier to puncture, but I do believe that it also had to do with the tire company. I know that my brother has used Firestone for his van and a few times already. Even one point, it had exploded while we were driving on the Parkway. Luckily we heard a funny noice before it blew out so we were able to slow down to a stop. I have had Michelin tires prior to this car on my previous vehicle. With those Michelin, I was able to drive appx. 80,000 without a problem and still if I had the vehicle, I would be able to make it through this winter and then perhaps change it. This is my first time using Bridgestone and I am not satisfied with them. I was planning to get Michelin to replace, but the gentleman I spoke to at the tire shop was honest to tell me to get Bridgestone since all my other tires were Bridgestone already and being that my vehichle only have 1550 miles. He said to put different tire(s) which such low mileage that is still almost new would affect the idling on the car - different tread, different tire. He had to be honest since he did not make the sale and sent me to a store that sold Bridgestone tires. That's why I knew he was being honest. If you're looking for a new tire, my reco would be Michelins. As I drive my car more, I will give another review on the tires. As for the Civic 06... I'm loving it.

TGIF...
Posted on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 1:41 PM
TGIF.. I'm looking for a weekend of rest and relaxtion. Yeah, ok.. I wish. I think the only time that'll happen is if and when I win the lottery. But then, you have to be in it to win it to - but I'm not in it so I guess I can't win it.
Why win the lottery? I don't want to win it to live a glamourous life or have all the luxury in life - well, just a little, but more to spend more time with my son and with the rest of my family. Working a little over 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and putting in few extra hours on Sunday doesn't really give you too much time to spend with the family. Trust me, if I didn't have to, I wouldn't ... but life doesn't get served to you on a silver platter so you take it as it comes.
Well, if any one has a master plan to retire or work less - trust me, I wouldn't mind working 12 hours a day if it was only for 5 days a week... that I can deal with... but as I was saying, if anyone has the plan to work less with making the financial duties meet each month... tell me. I'm still working on that right now... hehehehe.
Have a Great Weekend!!
It's just SO SO SO HOT...

Besides needing a vacation to which I know that I'm WAY WAY WAY OVERDUE, this heat isn't helping me out at all. I wish there were better ways to find relief in this heat. Worse part is, you work all day and you have to jump into a car that's like a sauna. Perhaps I need to take a nice cruise to Alaska. Perhaps I just need to take a cruise. But better yet, I just need to take a vacation....
But in the meantime, a nice lap dance or two would do the job... hehehehe. DD's... here I come!!
Back to Sprint ... again?
Posted on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 8:50 AM
Am I a phone slut? hahahaha. People call me that 'cause I'm always changing service or changing handsets like it's a new pair of shoes. Perhaps I get bored... perhaps I'm just looking for the ultimate service... hehehehe. I was on Nextel for about 2 years, but in that time I have jumped service once - from Nextel to Sprint (for about 2 months) and back to Nextel... now I'm back to Sprint. I have changed handsets within that 2 years exactly 7 times including this handset from Sprint. I have also used Cingular service in those two years and have changed handsets 5 times. What the hell is wrong with me?!?! I guess I'm just into gadgets that I have to have the latest handset out, but now I think it's time to calm down on that. Being that I'm on Sprint now... let's see how long I last and how long I last with this certain handset (the A920). hehehehe.
I believe if it wasn't for the lack of service at my work, I would've stayed on with Nextel; however, because the service was lagging here at my job, it felt like a waste to not be able to use the phone at my convenience.

My Honda Civic... gotta love the gas mileage.
Posted on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 7:23 AM
I have recently bought a new 2006 Honda Civic EX and I'm loving it. Yes, it doesn't have the nav system nor the push button start ignition ... leather seating ... a lot of luxury perks, but what it does give me is good mileage compared to my former love ... my 1998 Nissan Maxima GXE. Yes, she was my ex and I miss her, but with age, she had to retire.
I wasn't planning to buy a new a car, but with my "Maxipad" I noticed there were going to be some mechanical problems that needed to be fixed - the shocks/struts, the front axel, and the tires would've needed replacement before the winter came. So at this point where the car needs to be fixed here and there, it'll never stop .. so I decided to get something economical and something that would give me good gas mileage. I looked around and the Civic was definitely worth the money - the EX basically comes with everything. The only real option is the NAV and that was something I did not need - I have the NAV in my head and I have Mapquest.. hehehe.
Besides the full tank the dealer gives you, I have filled up the car twice since then. The first time was at the 1/4 tank which costed me $30 (super - SUNOCO). I got 300 miles from the dealer fill up. The second time I filled up costed me $35 (super - BP) which I filled up when the light came up. And I got 400 miles (from the SUNOCO fill up). Not too bad at all...
I think I have more love for the Civic then I have had for the Maxima....
The search for the Nintendo DS Lite
Posted on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 6:11 AM
So what is so special about the Nintendo DS Lite? I never found an interest in the Nintendo video system, but I noticed a lot of the younger teens to pre-teens are more interested in the DS rather than the PSP. I guess being slightly a year or two over 30, I always found the PSP more interesting and more appealing.
So the date was Saturday and I went to help my brother-in-law's niece look for her Nintendo DS Lite. The search started off at Best Buy, but to our UNsurprise, Best Buy once again proved to us that NOTHING IS EVER IN STOCK.... EVER. I believe out of the 4 times I've been there looking for something either ON SALE or JUST CAME OUT, the answer I've heard from the sales rep. 4 times was that "We're Out Of Stock". Hmmm... go figure! I didn't even know why I wasted my gas to go there again.
So back into the car we headed to CompUSA. Hopefully this place will bring us better luck. 10 minutes later, we arrived at CompUSA, jumped out of the car... into the store... strolled up and down the aisle until we came to the section ... nothing on the shelf??? WTF!! We then asked a sales rep. on the floor - "Do you have any DS Lite?" Unable to answer us, he pointed us to the Customer Care line ... another 5 minutes to wait online ... finally our turn - "Do you have the Nintendo DS Lite?" ... "Nope, sorry." F*CK! Headed out and back into the car... where should we head next. Sam's Club!
Sam's Club, here we come. Another 10 minute drive, we came into the Sam's Club plaza. But wait, there's Wal-Mart before Sam's Club, so we should give it a try there too. Parked the car, and into Wal-Mart - f*ck this place is big. Walking towards the electronics, my brother-in-law's niece seemed excited. We came to the aisle, behind the glass doors, under the Nintendo DS Lite sign ... games, tons of it... but where's the system?!?!?! F*ck!! Where's the employee? .... "Do you have any Nintendo DS Lite?" - ... "No, sorry!" Get the F*CK out!! O, f*ck.
Last hope... Sam's Club. *Crossing fingers*. Jumped back into the car and drove from one parking lot to the adjacent parking lot.. Sam's Club. Ran out, ran in.. straight to the Electronics. WoOooOhOoooO. Finally after much searching... we accomplished our mission and put a smile on a young kid.
...Wait, isn't any one gonna give me some $$ for gas????? Sh*ts not cheap anymore....
