Hi Tony, My guess is that the previous times that you ran over glass bottles you kept rolling & weren't coming to a stop. If that is the case, when you run over a bottle & keep moving it explodes & burst in to pieces that scatter. When you hit one as you come to a stop or get it next to a curb, it will break & pierce your tire. I find that buying cheaper tires is a better buy. For 1/2 the money you may get 10,000-15,000 less miles, but you actually get another set of tires for the same money & get more miles. Think about it. Head to the discount tire shop & grab a set of elcheapos. You will see what I mean. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
